His obituary: Eddie McKinley December 12, 2008 – Eddie McKinley, 71, of Kennesaw, died Friday, December 12, 2008. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, in Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. George Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Eddie graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1955. He served 6 years in the United States Navy. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sara. Other survivors include his son Chuck and daughter-in-law Janie McKinley, daughter Heidi and son-in-law Steve Majors, grandchildren Lauren and Hannah McKinley, Myles and Neal Majors, and Brian Gratzer, fiance of Lauren. Eddie was an antique car enthusiast. He retired from Lucent Technology in 1999 after many years of service as a machinist. Eddie spent his years of retirement enjoying his antique cars and spending time with his family. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
