February 7, 1937 – January 8, 2016 – Mr. Jimmy D. McClure, age 78, of Villa Rica, passed away January 8, 2016.
He was a native of Cobb County and was a graduate of Sprayberry High School in 1955 where he was Mr. Sprayberry. As Veteran of the United States Army, Mr. McClure returned to work at Lockheed Martin and retired in 1999. He was also a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church in Marietta. A son of John Clifton and Jewell Latham McClure, he was one of 11 children.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Ann Gibbs McClure; children, Rodney McClure, Melissa and Scott Price, Janice and Derrel Casteel; sister, Elise Latham; grandchildren, Caitlin Price, Zachary Price, Ethan Deese; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday Jan. 10 at 2 PM in the Winkenhofer Chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. John Darnell officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends between the hours of 6 until 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
