Jimmy I. McLeod Jr., 34, of Bishop Lake Road in Marietta died Friday evening in Kennestone Hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Hay-Gantt Funeral Home in Marietta. The Rev. Charles C. Sineath Jr. was to officiate with burial in Kennesaw Memorial Park. Mr. McLeod was born in Atlanta, but spent most of his life in Marietta, graduating from Sprayberry High. He attended Georgia Institute of Technology and served in the U.S. Army. For 16 years he had been employed by World Bazaar stores of the Atlanta-based Atlantic Co., serving as a manager. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Kay H. McLeod; son, James A McLeod of Smyrna; mother, Mrs. J.D. Nappier of Marietta; father, J.I. McLeod Sr. of Acworth; sister, Mrs. Kenneth Williams of Cumming; brother A.B. Nappier of Kennesaw; paternal grandfather, Harry S. McLeod of Acworth; aunt, Mrs. Evelyn Boylen of Acworth; uncle, H.A. McLeod of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
