Army veteran – Billy Clarence Davis, 67, of Marietta died Friday, July 4, 2003. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Sosebee Funeral Home in Canton, with the Revs. Eugene Tinsley and Marshall Reinhardt officiating. Burial will be in Greers Chapel Cemetery in Kennesaw.
Mr. Davis was an Army veteran. He retired from General Motors as a welder after 35 years. He was a member of Greers Chapel Baptist Church, the GM Local 10 Autoworkers Union and Silver Bullet Hunting Club. Survivors include his wife, Eva Davis; one daughter, Teresa Brown of Woodstock; his mother, Annie Lee Davis of Woodstock; one sister, Linda Sue Richards of Ellijay; and one granddaughter. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, GA 30368-2454; or to WellStar Community Hospice. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
