Jimmy L. J.L. Brown, 53, of Marietta died Saturday. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta with the Revs. Ralph Hunt and Herman Hood officiating. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery. A lifelong resident of Cobb County, Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Army and worked for Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Co.-Georgia for the past 30 years as a manufacturer manager. He was a member of the Lockheed Management Club, the East Marietta Sports Association and Eastside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn S. Brown of Marietta; one daughter, Melissa Brown Boring of Dunwoody; one son, Steven G. Brown of Marietta; four sisters, Sara Benson of Acworth, Sue Holub of Alpharetta, Shirley Miller of Marietta and Linda New of Marietta; four brothers, J.D. Brown of Marietta, Tommy Brown of Marietta, Jerry Brown of Emerson and Jack Brown of Marietta; several nieces and nephews. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta is in charge of arrangements.
