Joann was a lifelong member of Paper Mill Road Baptist Church, formerly known as Sardis Baptist Church, where her faith was nurtured and lived out daily. It was there that she married the love of her life, Benny Lee, on August 3, 1957. Together they shared 68 beautiful years of marriage – a bond marked by devotion, faith, and unwavering love. In recent years, Benny was her devoted caregiver, caring for her with tenderness and faithfulness. There was truly no greater love than the one they shared. Joann was the sweetest and kindest woman, known by all who met her for her gentle spirit and warm heart. She was an exceptionally talented seamstress, creating beautiful curtains, pillows, and other cherished pieces that will remain treasured reminders of her creativity and care. She was a loving and devoted mother to her three children: Bob Lee, Brenda Hardage (Bill), and Mike Lee (Mary). Joann was a proud and loving grandmother to Matthew (Alyssan), Mitchell Hardage (Ashley), Chris Lee, Bekah Hoffman (Scotty), Parker Lee, and Brody Lee. She adored her great-grandchildren – Abel, Ezra, and Gemma Hoffman, Ryan Lee – and joyfully awaited the arrival of a new great-grandbaby. Joann is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, George B. Lee (Benny); her two sisters, Nancy Davis and Gwen Gustavson and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She is pre–deceased by her parents, Hattie Lou and Robert Seals, stepmother – Bernice Davis, brother – Anthony Seals, Sister – Arlene Boggs, her dear cousin and friend – Annette Tolbert, along with many other loved ones.
