John Brock. John died on October 6, 1968.
His obituary: J.E. Brock Jr. – John Edward Brock Jr., 29, 921 Shore Drive, Marietta, died Sunday. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. K.B. Robertson officiating. Interment will be in New Salem Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lidwina Frey Brock of Marietta; on daughter, Miss Doris Brock of Marietta; one son, Michael John Brock of Marietta; parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Brock Sr., Akron, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Robert Roebuck, Akron; grandmother, Mrs. G.W. Brock, Marietta; and aunts and uncles. Mr. Brock was born in Akron but spent most of his life in Marietta. He was employed as a salesman with Pitney-Bowes Business Machines. He was a graduate of Sprayberry High School and attended Georgia Tech. Mr. Brock was a senior at Georgia State College at the time of his death. He served two years in the U.S. Army and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
