His obituary: Billy Lanier Cain April 18, 1938 – January 25, 2022 – Billy L. Cain of Cobb County passed away on January 25, 2022. Bill was born in Pickens County, GA and moved to Cobb County as a young boy. He graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1957. He served in the Army National Guard in the 60's. He worked with his dad and brother at S.C. Cain & Sons Construction. After the passing of their father, the elder Mr. Cain, the company became Cain Construction for over 45 years. His interests included enjoying the outdoors, snow and water skiing, camping, NASCAR racing, and going to the beach. He is preceded in death by his parents, Shannon and Juett Cain and his brother, Robert J. Cain, who also passed this week. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Patsy Hester Cain; daughter, Lori (Tom) Wampler; son, Lamar Cain; stepdaughter, Heather (Steve) Tanner; grandchildren, Bobby Carson Jr., Shannon (Josh) Caldwell; great granddaughter, Everette Caldwell; sister-in-law, Joy Cain; and niece, Kim Cain. The family will receive visitors at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA 30066 on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 2:00PM through 5:00PM. The funeral service will take place in the Marietta Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11:00AM with the burial immediately following at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
