His obituary: Robert Edwin Mantell Sr., April 22, 1939 - March 24, 2024 – Robert E. Mantell, Sr, 84 of Blue Ridge and formerly of Kennesaw died Sunday March 23rd. Robert loved God and lived his life by God's principals which gave him a sweet spirit with a servant's heart. Robert was known to stop along the way to help his friend and total and total strangers alike if he saw a need. Robert was a friend to all and always greeted people with a big dimpled smile and an encouraging word or two. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Robert leaves behind his wife, Jo Lynn Chastain Mantell; his son, Robert E. 'Bob' Mantell, Jr; his daughter, Tracy Lynn Mantell; granddaughter, Blair Gowasack and husband Andrew; Two great granddaughters, Cecilia and Gianna and one soon to be born grandson; brother, Ralph Mantell and wife Sarah; God son, Eric Ferguson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday March 28th at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, GA with the Rev. James Perry officiating. Robert will be entered at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta. The family will receive friends 5-7:00 PM on Wednesday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta.
