His obituary: Kidd, W.T., Jr. – Mr. W.T. Kidd, Jr., age 76, of Kennesaw, GA died Thursday, December 26, 2013. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 28th in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home. Interment will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Kidd served as a Lieutenant for Cobb County Fire Department for 27 years before retiring in 1994. He worked mostly at Station #12. He lived in Cobb County for 70 years. Mr. Kidd is survived by his wife, Joanne Kidd of Kennesaw; daughters Debbie Thackston of Acworth, Susan Hutson (Dale) of Kennesaw, Denise of Kidd of Kennesaw: brothers, Wallace Kidd of Woodstock, Nelson Kidd of Douglasville: five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, December 27th at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta. (770) 424-4924.
