His obituary: A.T. Norton, 1940 – 2026. A.T. Norton, Jr. passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026 at the age of 85. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on March 17 at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home at 180 Church Street in Marietta. A.T. is survived by his children, Mike (and wife Diane) and Karen, his siblings, Barbara, Wilburn, and William, his former son-in-law Mark (and wife Julie), grandchildren Jesse, Taylor, (and wife Kellie), Walker, Jonathan, Sarah, Anna (and husband Nick), and Brian. He was also blessed with great grandchildren James, Sophia, Dakota, and Roman and many friends. A.T. was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, his siblings Charles, Cliffton, Sharon, and Shirley and his granddaughter Jamie. A.T. served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years as a young man. He was a Christian who lived his faith every day and contributed his time and tithe to his church. He was a well-respected business owner of 50 years who helped numerous clients who became friends. He loved golf and made 6 hole in ones over the years. He was able to travel all over the world, but his favorite destination was in the arms of his wife Sharon. He was a good man in all he did and will be missed.
