Her obituary: Eva Nell Davis – November 18, 1940 – May 18, 2009 – Mrs. Eva Nell Davis Marietta resident Mrs. Eva Nell Davis, age 68, of Marietta, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009.Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009 from the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gene Tinsley officiating. Interment will follow in Greers Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis was a member of Greers Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, bowling and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy C. Davis. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and David Brown of Woodstock; granddaughter, Adrienne Higgingbotham; great-grandsons, Brandon and Bryce Higgingbotham; sisters, Mildred Johnson of Ellijay and Kathleen Hostetler of Marietta; brother, Clarence Burrell of Cartersville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Brandon and Bryce Higgingbotham College Fund at any local Regions Bank.
