His obituary: Gerald Samuel Hopper – January 4, 1939 – July 26, 2021 – Gerald Samuel Hopper, age 82 of Marietta, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 2, 2021. Mr. Hopper was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Beulah Hopper, sister and brother in law Florence and JC Shirley, brother Kenneth Hopper, sister in law Helen Fowler, nephew Steve Hopper and great grandchildren Karlee Taylor and Hope Hopper. He is survived by his wife Pastor Virginia Hopper, his children Rev. Carol Bowlin (Cecil James) of Acworth, Gerald Samuel Hopper, Jr. (Darlene) of Powder Springs, Ruth Leddin (Gregory) of Kennesaw, Rev. Johnathan Hopper of Powder Springs, brother Alton Hopper of Marietta, grandchildren Kimberly (Brad) Taylor, Nathan (Kayla) Bowlin, Luke Bowlin, Abby (Brandon) Willis, Lydia (Clay) Dixon, Chris (Pamela) Hopper, Joshua Hopper, Tosha Turner, great grandchildren Anna Grace Beck, Naomi Dixon, Hailey Hopper, Kaitlyn Hopper, nieces and nephews.
