Her obituary: Jenive "Ann" Greene – August 12, 1941 – June 23, 2017 – Jenive Ann 's Obituary – Mrs. Jenive Ann Greene, age 75, of Canton, GA went to be with our Lord on Friday, June 23, 2017. Ann was born on August 12, 1941 in Marietta, GA, to parents Gilbert Paul and Ada Jean Baldwin. Ann graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1957. She always felt that the Lord was calling her to be a nurse. She began nursing school at Grady Memorial Hospital and graduated in 1961. The quality of life and dignity of her patients were very important to her. She treated them as if they were her family and not just a job to her. Nursing remained her passion until she retired in 1986. She loved animals and always had at least one dog and cat in the family. Ann enjoyed reading, playing the piano and organ, attending church, singing at the nursing home and spending time with her friends and family. Through the years she also enjoyed painting, writing poetry and photography. She was an active member of South Cherokee Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Greene, her parents, Paul and Jean Baldwin and many other loved ones. Ann is survived by her children; Johnnie (Allison) Greene Jr., Billy (Sandra) Greene, David (Stephanie) Greene, Michael Greene, Russell (DJ) Singleton, Dale (Junko) Singleton and Pamela (Norm) Clark, 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at South Cherokee Baptist Church, 7504 Hwy 92, Woodstock, GA., 30189. The family will receive friends from 3:00-3:45 p.m. with the service beginning at 4:00 p.m. The family request in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cherokee County Special Olympics or the National Kidney Foundation.
