Her obituary: Billie Ruth Gasaway – June 7, 1941 – December 8, 2014 – Billie R. Gasaway, 73, of Marietta died Monday, December 8, 2014. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 11am in the chapel of Marietta Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10-11am prior to the service. Interment will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. Ms. Gasaway was a native of Winterhaven, FL and moved to Marietta in 1945 where she attended Marietta High School and graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1959. Ms. Gasaway was a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church for over 40 years and she participated in the Living Christmas Tree performances at Eastside Baptist Church. She has attended Marietta Camp Meeting since the age of 15. Ms. Gasaway worked for Damar Corporation for over 14 years and then worked as an executive assistant to the President at Life University before her retirement. She was a Girl Scout Leader and participated in the PTA for many years at Powers Ferry Elementary school. She is survived by her daughter, Dee Anne Warwick (DuRant) of Marietta; sister, Marion Libby Dorsey of Newnan; brother, Ralph Rogers (Faye) of Woodstock; granddaughter, Anna Warwick of Marietta and nieces and nephews.
