Hubert Billy May, 23, 707 Third St. Apt. 1, Marietta, died Friday. Rites will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Elizabeth Baptist Church. Rev. Roscoe Davis and Rev. Hubert Pannell will officiate. Interment will be at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, Smyrna. Remains will lie in state at church, from 1:30 until 2:30. Mayes Ward is in charge. May was a native of Tift County. He attended Marietta schools, was a graduate of Sprayberry High School. He was a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church. He died of injuries sustained in a fall from a truck.
Survivors include wife, the former Charlotte Hagood; daughter, Lisia; mother, Mrs. Audrey May, all of Marietta; father Elton C. May, Adel, maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Owenby, Marietta; uncles, W.R. Owenby, Smyrna, and Roy S. Owenby, Tifton.
