Jerry Brown. Jerry died on August 26, 1993.

His obituary: Charles G. Brown, 52, former Cobb resident. Charles Gerald Jerry Brown, 52, of Emerson, formerly of Cobb County, died Thursday. Services will be 4 p.m. today at Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church in Cartersville, with the Revs. Thomas A. Green and Reed Benson officiating. The body will arrive at the church at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. A lifelong resident of Cobb County, Mr. Brown had been living in Emerson for the past eight years. He was division manager for the Cobb County Water and Sewer Department. He was a member of the American Saddle Breed Horse Association, the National and U.S. Racking Horse Association, the Water and Pollution Control Association and Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Judith Judy Brown; son, Scott Brown of Emerson; four sisters, Sarah Brown Benson of Acworth; Sue Brown Chapman of Lawrenceville; Shirley Brown Miller and Linda Brown New, both of Marietta; two brothers, Tommy Brown and C. Jack Brown, both of Marietta; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Contributions can be made to American Cancer Society, Cobb County Unit, 1256 North Cobb Parkway, Suite 103, Marietta, 30062-2420. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon today at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home.
