Her obituary: Mrs Nancy Carolyn Brown Cheek, 64, Marietta resident – Nancy Carolyn Brown Cheek, 64, of Marietta, died Friday, July 22, 2005. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Medford-Peden Funeral Home in Marietta with the Revs. Tommy Young and Harold Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Park cemetery. A lifelong Cobb County resident, Mrs. Cheek worked in the Cobb County Superior Court Clerk's office for 15 years and for the Bennett Chiropractic Clinic for 18 years until January 1999. Survivors include her husband, Robert Cheek Sr.; three sons, Randall Horton of Marietta, Robert Cheek Jr. of Peachtree City and Daniel W. Cheek of Martinsburg, W.Va.; five grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. Contributions may be made to WellStar Community Hospice, 4040 Hospital West, Austell, GA 30106. The family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. today and until 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
