Her obituary: Sheila C Shirley, September 21, 1941 – November 13, 2025. Sheila C. Shirley, 84, of Kennesaw, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025. Sheila is survived by her son, Scott Shirley (Teresa) of Acworth, and her daughter, Stacy Shirley (Kate) of Jasper. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Jesse Shirley of Cartersville, Whitley Shirley of Rockmart, Beau Shirley of Marietta, as well as her great-grandchildren, Shayla and Leigha. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Julian H. Pittman and Laverne K. Pittman, both of Kennesaw, and by her loving husband, Tommy F. Shirley, also of Kennesaw. A graduate of Sprayberry High School, Sheila married Tommy on November 23, 1957. Together they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and home. Sheila dedicated her life to raising their children and creating a warm, welcoming home for her family. She took great joy in decorating, gardening, and caring for her yard, always finding beauty in the details of everyday life. Sheila was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Woodstock and cherished the many friendships she made throughout her life. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew her. The family will receive visitors at Collins Funeral Home in Acworth, Georgia, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Acworth, where Sheila will be laid to rest beside her husband.
