Robert S. (Bob) Camp of Marietta, GA passed away January 8, 2010. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 11, 2010 in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta. Burial will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Foster Camp, his daughter, Tammy Camp of Talty, TX and his son, Bobby Camp of Marietta, GA, his six grandchildren, Lauren Bell, Ethan Miller, Ashley Renee Koellhoffer and Alexis, Ava Rose and Adelaide Camp, and his sister Jacque Holguin of Chula Vista, CA, and his sister Marilyn Labson of Smyrna, GA. Bob was born in Coral Gables, FL. He graduated from Sprayberry High School in Marietta and then attended Georgia Tech and earned his B.S. at Southern Tech in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed bv Union Carbide and Lockheed until his retirement in 1995. Bob was a youth soccer coach and an avid supporter of the Wheeler High School soccer program in the 1980's. He was a weekend motocross racer in his younger days and then caught the runner's bug in the 80's. In his retirement years he enjoyed model railroading and getting together with his Lockheed fellow retirees. He was an active member of the Railroad Historical Society. Bob adored his dogs, his grandchildren and his Yellow Jackets. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 10th at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta (770) 424-4924. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Cobb County Humane Society.
