Her obituary: Lynda Walker – Mrs. Lynda Hughes Walker, age 64 of Nelson, Ga., passed at her residence early Monday morning, Sept. 25, 2006. Lynda was born and raised in Marietta, Ga. She graduated from Sprayberry High School and Reinhardt College. Lynda retired from Lockheed Martin Aircraft in 1997 and was a co–owner of Antiques-Treasures & More in Jasper. Survivors include her husband, William Paul (Bill) Walker, Nelson; parents, Eugene D. and Edith Hughes, Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Karen Kirby, Dallas, Ga.; daughters and son-in-law, Camille and John Kemp, Nelson, and Ashley Wheeler, Taylorsville, Ga.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Greg and Dee Hughes, Ball Ground, Ga., and Gene and Kathy Hughes, College Park, Ga. Six grandchildren and one great-grandchild survives. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Revs. Danny Spears, Kenneth Kirk and Roy Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Carroll Blanton, Tony Stewart, Ronnie Berry, J.L. Mashburn, Mark McLeod, Herbert and Sam Mason.
