Her obituary: Mary Elizabeth Korzenok, October 2, 1942 – February 2, 2020. Mary Elizabeth Korzenok, age 77, passed away on February 2, 2020 in Kennesaw Georgia. She was born in Marietta, Georgia, to the late Holbert and Verra Westbrook, on October 2, 1942. Mary was a native to the Kennesaw area and raised on a farm. She was no stranger to hard work and this led to her having incredible work ethics. She also tended to her family garden and canned the vegetables they grew. On March 14, 1962, Mary married John Korzenok and they spent the next thirty-four years together before his passing. She was always a very happy person, always wanting to make jokes to make everyone smile and laugh. Mary had a very positive outlook on life and continued her views even up until her last moments. Throughout her entire life, she enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, crocheting, and embroidering things for her family. Her children played sports often at Adams Park in Kennesaw, Georgia and this gave Mary then opportunity to join their board of association. Mary became very involved with volunteering her time and enjoyed helping out where ever she was needed. Along with her parents and husband, Mary is preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Hillhouse and her brother-in-laws, David Hillhouse and Robert Cantrell. She is survived by her son, Randy (Tina) Korzenok; daughter, Mary Beth LeCroy; sisters, Betty Jo Cantrell and Cheryl Wilson; and grandchildren, Kathie Lynn (Daniel) LeCroy, Grace Marie LeCroy, Morgan Alexis Korzenok, Ian Matthew Korzenok, and Chase Devin Korzenok. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm and Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 11:30am – 12:30pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A service to honor Mary will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 12:30pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
