His obituary: Richard Lamar Hasty, May 28, 1941 – October 03, 2021. Richard Lamar Hasty, 80, of Dallas, GA died Sunday, October 3, 2021 at his residence.
He was born in Atlanta, GA on May 28, 1941 the son of the late Henry Otto Hasty and the late Willie Worley Hasty. He worked for General Motors and retired several years ago with twenty-eight years of service. He moved from Marietta, GA to the Paulding county area in 1993. He was devoted to his wife and family and worked to provide everything that they might want or need. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Hasty, a sister, Carol Evans and a grandson, Austin Bruce. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Marie Hasty of Dallas, GA; two daughters, Denise Herren of Dallas, GA and Lynn Phillips of Orlando, FL; two sons, Henry Hasty and Jeff Hasty both of Marietta. GA; step-daughter Robin Montgomery of Dallas, GA; sister, Marilyn Williams of Marietta, GA; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday October 09, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor James Griffin officiating. The Family will receive friends on Saturday October 09, 2021 at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.
