Her obituary: Carolyn Woody, January 18, 1943 – August 25, 2026. Frances Carolyn Woody, age 83, of Marietta, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Paul and Inez Woody. Born and raised in Marietta, Carolyn lived a life marked by kindness, integrity, and a deep devotion to her family and community. She graduated from Sprayberry High School and went on to build a fulfilling career as an administrator at Lockheed. Carolyns memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Historic Marietta Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta.
