Her obituary: Mrs. Judith Ruth MacMillan went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2007 at the age of 64, following a brief battle with cancer. Mrs. MacMillan was a Professor for 33 years as Head of the Music Department at Reinhardt College, and forever Music Director at Camp Crestridge for Girls. She was Co-Conductor for the Cherokee Choral for 18 years. She devoted her life to glorifying the Lord through her music and her walk with God. Mrs. MacMillan is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Walton L. and Mrs. Winston MacMillan. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 11:00 am from the New Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Hines, officiating. Burial will follow in the New Salem Church Cemetery. Surviving are brothers: Dan and Tim MacMillan, her nephews, Timothy, Matt and Jonathan MacMillan; her nieces, J.J. MacMillan and Ashley Hett; and her great-nieces and nephews, Collin, Jayme and Maddie Hett and Tyler and Walker MacMillan.
