His obituary: Phillip D. Blackwell, 1942 – 2017. Phil passed away on June 10, 2017, in Mountlake Terrace, WA. He was 74 years old and was was the fourth of six kids born to Emory and Jeanette Blackwell in Georgia. Phil joined the Air Force at 21 and met the Love of his Life, Sharon Witt in Alaska. They were married on June 17, 1965, and had 41 wonderful years together until Sharon passed away in 2006. To the day he passed away he still talked about her and how much he loved her and missed her. Phil worked hard his whole life and had over 40 years experience in the construction business as a Master Carpenter. His greatest joy was his grandkids and his cars and trucks. His last project was a 1980 GMC truck, had just been finished and he finally got to drive it just hours before he passed away. Phil is survived by his son Doug and wife, Kim Blackwell, his daughter, Deanna and husband, Art Cooper; grandkids, Ty Blackwell and Bailee Cooper; brother, Ronald Blackwell, and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Natalie Blackwell in 2015. May you finally find Peace Dad with Mom and Natalie. We will always Love and Miss You!
