His obituary: Raymond Mayes Holcomb, 68, of Marietta died August 2, 2011. Funeral Services were held at the Marietta Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Datz and Rev. Ruth Gravitt officiating. Interment was in Pine Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Kennesaw. Mr. Holcomb was a lifelong resident of Cobb County. He attended the 1962 class of Sprayberry High School. He loved and rode show horses. He also was an instrumental part of the family business of Holcomb Garbage Service for over 50 years. Survivors are his daughter Stacey H. Long; brother Marion "Murl" Holcomb, Canton; grandchildren Stephanie Long; great grandchildren Ashlynn and Deven Long; special cousin Katrina Smith (Curt).
