His obituary: Mr. Bennis. Charles M. Bennis, 36, Marietta, died Friday. Graveside services were to be 10:30 a.m. today from Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta with the Rev. Scott Woodmansee officiating. Born in Atlanta, Mr. Bennis had lived most of his life in Cobb County. He was a graduated of Sprayberry High School in 1960 and was a member of the football, basketball, and track teams, the Letter Club and the Spanish Club and was a musician. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for Cobb County for seven years. Survivors include son, Marty Bennis of Marietta; mother, Elizabeth Bennis of Hyde Park, Mass.; a sister, Charlene Tinglof of West Roxbury, Mass., several cousins, aunts and uncles.
