"The tremendous increase in the population of an every growing Cobb County resulted in the need to build Sprayberry High School. In ten years enrollment has increased from 580 to nearly 1200 students. In spite of numerous new classrooms and physical structures the problems of congested halls, larger classes, crowded lunch periods, increased clerical work, and undesired regimentation persists. This year 200 students in the Sprayberry area attended Osborne Junior High as more pupils at SHS was a physical impossibility. Improvements for this year include the addition of new boys dressing rooms and athletic offices, the utilization of a fine mobile classroom, the beginning of grading work on a new stadium, and the continued improvement of the front lawn."
