Eddie Powell. Eddie died on February 12, 2026.

His obituary: Edgar Eddie Earl Powell, July 6, 1945 – February 12, 2026. Edgar Earl Eddie Powell, 80, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Born on July 6, 1945, in Marietta, Eddie was a lifelong resident of Cobb County and a proud 1963 graduate of Sprayberry High School. Eddie built a respected career with Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Company, where he served as a Quality Control Inspector for more than two decades before retiring in 2000. Colleagues remember his steady hands, exacting standards, and easygoing humor—qualities that reflected the care and integrity he brought to every part of his life. Away from work, Eddie found joy in simple, enduring passions: a good round of golf, a quiet morning of fishing, and hours in the workshop where his love of woodworking took shape. He was an avid oil painter, a fan of old cars and car shows, and rarely missed a chance to cheer on his granddaughters at their sporting events. Above all, he was happiest when surrounded by family. Eddie is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Jean Caudell Powell; his son, Jason Powell (Lyndsey); his sister, Reba Lester (Willie); his granddaughters, Graceyn Powell and Josey Powell; and his great-granddaughter, Gianna Sage Arnold. He is also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, at Marietta Funeral Home and Crematory from 2 until 4 pm Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions in Eddie's memory to KidneyNation at the American Kidney Fund (KidneyNation@kidneyfund.org). Eddie's warmth, craftsmanship, and steadfast love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
