Her obituary: Ms. Thelma Jean Rice, age 54, of Breman, passed away Monday, February 15, 1999. Ms. Rice was born November 9, 1944 in Cobb County. She was a member of the Mount Zion East Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Marshall T. Rice. Survivors include her mother, Thelma Rice of Nolensville, Tenn.; three daughters, Tina Rowell and Carol Vines both of Bremen and Patricia Hulsey of Cedartown; a son, Eugene Anderson of Ellijay; a brother, Marshall Rice of Nolensville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 18, from the Mount Zion East Baptist Church with the Rev. Doyle Hall, the Rev. R.B. Hulsey, the Rev. Victor Benefield and the Rev. Ronnie Shirley officiating. Entombment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Pallbearers included, Ralph Johnson, Chris Bacon, Anthony Trawick, J.W. Huett, Sammy Hughes, and Doug Rice.
