His obituary: Ferguson, Larry E. Larry E. Ferguson, of Woodstock, went home to be with his Lord & Savior Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Larry was born in Fort Worth, TX on February 19, 1945. He graduated from Sprayberry High School in Marietta, GA. Larry served seven years in the US Army Special Forces and is a Vietnam Veteran. After an honorable discharge, Larry spent seven years as a pastor and 28 years in Bible Conference work both domestically and abroad. He is preceded in death by his father, Johnnie M. Ferguson. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carol B. Ferguson of Woodstock, his mother, Laura Ferguson of Marietta, his sister, Sheri Peters of Decatur, AL, his brother & sister-in-law Johnnie & Sharon Ferguson of Paso Robles, CA, his daughter & son in law, Mandy & Michael Powell of Cumming, his son & daughter in law, Shea & Amber Ferguson of Woodstock as well as his seven grandchildren, Emma Grace, Sarah Beth, Kinsey, Jack Wesley, Keegan, Kaden & Kameron. A celebration of Larry's life will take place Sunday, December 1st at 2:00 at Piedmont Baptist Church in Marietta, GA. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm and continue after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to invest in others in honor of Larry. He loved to support, encourage and train pastors; with that, half the money will be going to Timothy Barnabas Ministries. The other half will be going to support Kari Adams Clark; a close family friend fighting cancer. All donations are tax deductible and can be made out to Timothy Barnabas and mailed to 208 Whitewater Ct. Woodstock, GA 30188.
