Robert Haines Benson II, 64 of Marietta died Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010 at St. James Episcopal Church in Marietta. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta. He is the son of Frances Chiles Benson Noble of Marietta and the late Robert Haines Benson, Sr. Robert is also survived by his brother, Mike Benson & his wife, Terri of Marietta; two uncles, Stanley W. Benson of Oakland, CA; Harold Chiles of Jacksonville, FL; one aunt, Evelyn Chiles Chancey & her husband, Marvin of Jacksonville, FL and several cousins. Bob was a 1964 graduate of Sprayberry High School. He was a 35 plus year office product management executive with Savin, Sharp and Konica Minolta Corporations. Bob won numerous national sales awards and was highly regarded as one of the premier sales persons in the industry. He was an avid golfer and long time member of the Marietta Country Club before moving to Washington, DC in 1998. He was also a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Marietta. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Robert Haines Benson, II to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 3715 Northside Parkway, Building 400 Suite 300, Atlanta, GA 30327.
