Survived by his wife of 42 years, Teresa Bell Bowen; two daughters, Christine Bowen Stevens (Jim) and Shelley Elizabeth Bowen (Daniel); three grandchildren, Mark James and Sean Thomas Stevens, and Annabell Elise Johnson. Graduate of Truett McConnell Collge and North Carolina State University. Served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, 1968-72. Member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Durham, NC. Words cannot express the love and pride Jim had for his family. Family will receive friends May 28 in celebration of Jim's life. Call (919) 475-4719 for details.
