His obituary: Thomas D. Alexander Jr., a Navy Reservist who served during the Vietnam Era passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and family on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 noon on Tuesday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home Historic Chapel in Marietta with Deacon Bruce Reed officiating. Tom graduated in 1965 from Sprayberry High School. He was a retired Project Manager of Beers Construction. He was a member of the American Legion Post 29. Tom enjoyed golfing and his time at the lake as he was a member of Etowah Yacht Club. Survivors include his wife, Kimberly D. Alexander; three daughters, Staci Alexander and Adam Deaver of Columbus, GA, Jennifer Alexander of Marietta, GA, Tiffany Cole and David Ellis of Port St. Luci, Florida; grandchildren, Alexander McKeown, Evans Deaver, Kelsey Coles, Emily McKeown, Devin Lyons, Mason Lyons, Morgan Ellis, Paige Ellis; sisters and brothers, Joyce Reed and husband, Bruce, Mike Alexander, Gail McLarty and husband, Don, Steve Alexander and wife, Gretchen, Dennis Alexander and wife, Suzanne; many nieces and nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Donald Alexander Sr. and Eva Nell Alexander; sister, Janet Alexander and granddaughter, Heather Coles.
