Her obituary: Denison[TX] – The Lord called home Dardanelle Lee Tolbert, 66, Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in Denison. Mrs. Tolbert was born February 17, 1947 in Dallas, the daughter of Bennie and Nelwyn (Gentry) Harn. She married the love of her life, Jimmy Lee Tolbert, July 19, 1991 in Denton, Texas. Dardanelle had been office manager for PSI, Inc. She was an excellent seamstress. She had a big heart and was always there to help others. Dardanelle was a member of Parkside Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Tolbert is survived by her beloved family: husband of 22 years, Jimmy Lee Tolbert of Denison; children, Monica Poe and husband Steve of Denison, Trevor Shamkin of Christiansburg, Va., Tiffany McClain and husband Ricky of Collinsville, Jason Tolbert of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Haley Tolbert of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Miranda, Madison and Garrett Poe of Denison, Jayden and Bryson McClain of Collinsville, Cadence Tolbert of Raleigh, N.C. and Kianna Tolbert of Fairbanks, Alaska; siblings, Celia Libby, Dale Harn and Jeff Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Dr. Chet Haney officiating. Private family interment will follow in Gunter Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 6 -8 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Fisher Funeral Home.
