Elise Bramblett, age 63, a lifelong resident of Marietta, passed away on January 14, 2011 due to complications from diabetes and congestive heart failure. Ms. Bramblett was a career teacher who taught at Sprayberry, North Cobb and Harrison, as well as working for a time in the Eastside Baptist Church children's ministry. She is survived by her two sisters, Susan Nix of Marietta and Grace Thomason of Universal City, Texas; her brother-in-law Steve Thomason of Universal City, Texas; three nephews, Marty Nix of Marietta, Russ Thomason of Fort Collins, Colorado and Adam Thomason of Houston, Texas and one great nephew, R.J. Thomason. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, January 29, 11:00 a.m. at Eastside Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Elise Bramblett Memorial Fund, c/o Harrison High School, which will contribute to scholarships and other charitable causes.
