Kitty Otis. Kitty died on January 25, 2020.

Her obituary: Katharyn Kitty Otis Pelych, August 31, 1947 – January 25, 2020. Katharyn Otis Pelych, 72, died January 25, 2020 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA after a two week battle with pneumonia and other complications. Kitty was born on August, 31, 1947 in Memphis, Tennessee to Robert & Katharyn Otis. She spent her early years in Helena, Arkansas, until her family moved in 1951 for her father to be in the first employment group of the newly opening Lockheed Martin location in Marietta, GA. She grew up in Marietta where she graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1965. Kitty married William Bill Pelych on September 19, 1969. They raised 2 daughters, Katharyn Clark and Lori Mitchum, and have lived happily married for 50 years in Marietta, GA. Kitty loved embarking on new adventures and starting new businesses. Her career spanned a wide variety of industries starting with personnel services at Job World with her parents, and later on her own, where she helped recruit people, and learned to never meet a stranger. From there she had several of her own companies including Nails by Kitty, Classic Catering and Kitty's Art. Around 1989 she started in the Optical Industry with her first position at Opti World. She spent many years in the industry with several companies, and made many lifetime friends. Many of which she quickly adopted as family. After retirement, Kitty spent several years working for WellStar Hospital where she continued to garner new lifetime friends. Kitty loved to paint in her paint room at her home and loved to share her painting passion with anyone that would come for a lesson. She adored spoiling and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling her friend's children and grandchildren as well. She enjoyed spending time with and talking with her friends, helping those who she felt needed help, and taking in those who were missing family in their lives. Her love for making new friends and taking in those that needed help was evident to all who met her and ensured that a family holiday was rarely just the family, but friends she took in as family as well. Kitty is survived by her husband, William Pelych, her daughters Katharyn Clark (Frank Clark) and Lori Mitchum (Robert Mitchum), grandchildren Alexis Mitchum, Katie Mitchum, Tori Mitchum, Paul Clark, Christy Overall, and great grandchildren Jaylen Dunham, Carmelo Dunham, Charlotte Overall and June Overall.
