His obituary: Richard Carlton Dobson, June 28, 1947 – January 22, 2024. Richard Carlton Dobson, age 76 of Loganville, GA, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, George Dobson; mother, Ruth Dobson; father-in-law, Harry Chapman; mother-in-law, Birdell Chapman. He is survived by his wife, Judy Dobson; daughters, Kelly McTaggart and Robin Bennett; son in law, Darrel Bennett; siblings George Dobson (Jack) and Dale Graham; grandchildren, Justin Bennett, Morgan Conley, Mallory McTaggart, Andrew McTaggart and Josh Bennett; great grandson, Colton Bridges. Rick was employed at Baxter Healthcare until retirement. He also was a long-time umpire and coach to many. He loved the time he spent at the ballfields and spending time with his family.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 PM and also on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 12:00-1:00 PM. The service to celebrate the life of Rick Dobson will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Eternal Hills Chapel, 3594 Stone Mountain Hwy, Snellville, GA. 30039.
