His obituary: Everett Buddy Richards, age 59, of Conyers died Saturday, May 5th, 2007 at his home, after a brief battle with cancer. Mr. Richards was a graduate of Sprayberry High School, and served in the US Air Force. He worked for Cellofoam before retiring in 2004. He was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for fishing. After retirement Buddy worked towards getting his captain's license and enjoyed taking people fishing on his charter boat in Steinhatchee, FL. Mr. Richards is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Mike Rock and Sarah and Phillip Truitt. His joy was his granddaughter Caitlin Rock. Also surviving is his sister, Janice Carlisle of Acworth, GA, sisters-in-law, Nancy Howell and husband, Ricky of Grantville, GA. and Sally Wash and husband, Ron of Steinhatchee, FL., and mother-in-law, Lenna Blow. Buddy leaves four nieces and four nephews and many dear friends who will miss him. Mr. Richards was preceded in death by his wife and true love, Betty Blow Richards, parents Ruth and Everett Richards, and father-in-law, Joseph Blow. The family will receive friends at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home on Highway 138, Conyers, GA. (770)918-8851, on Tuesday, May 8, from 6-8 p.m. Services will be Wednesday, May 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Horis A. Ward Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Henson and Elder and friend David Fleming officiating.
