His obituary: Ernest Danny Daniel Cantrell, November 9, 1948 – October 22, 2022. Ernest D Cantrell (Danny), 73, passed away on October 22nd, 2022, from respiratory complications.
Danny is survived by his son Phillip and wife Carol, daughter Allison and husband Bart, and granddaughter Courtney. Since 2013, he shared his life with Cora Greene and her children, Casey and Paul. Tweety was a star Basketball player for Sprayberry High School and later enjoyed coaching for Shaw Park Basketball teams. He joined the Marietta Fire Department on 05/26/1977 and retired as a Firefighter Engineer on 1/30/2004. Danny had a great passion for golf and enjoyed spending a lot of time on the course, as well as following his favorite player, Jack Nicklaus. He enjoyed spending time camping with the family as well as working on projects throughout his home. Danny will be honored in a celebration of life on October 27th, 2022, at the Clubhouse at 121 Oakleigh Pointe Drive, Dallas, GA 30157 from 5pm to 8pm.
