His obituary: Howard Clifford Bankston, August 5, 1948 – May 5, 2023. Howard Clifford Bankston, age 74, of Marietta, Georgia was born on August 5, 1948. Mr. Bankston passed away on May 5, 2023. Son of Harold Camp Bankston and Annie Frances Chastain Bankston. He is survived by mother, Annie Frances Chastain Bankston, brother, Ronald Scott Bankston, son, Jeffery Howard Bankston, daughters, Jennifer Renee Bankston and Natalie Frances Littrell, grandchildren, Lana Claudia Littrell and Thomas, Jeffery and Pierce Bankston. Howard graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired as a Captain in the Marietta Fire Department, after 27 years of service. Howard loved his children and grandchildren. He was also an avid car enthusiast. A celebration of life gathering for Howard will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home . A memorial service will be Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
