April 18, 1947 – January 6, 2024. Rozella Kathleen Gaffney, age 76, of Kennesaw, Georgia departed to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2024. Rozella was born in Dalton, Georgia to the late Warren and Rena Tony Patterson on April 18, 1947. She grew up in North Georgia and graduated from Sprayberry High School. She married Michael Leon Gaffney on March 18, 1979. After retiring from a career in clerical and retail, she volunteered for many years with the Kennesaw Baseball Association. Rozella was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and grandmother who loved each person dearly. She and her husband, Mike, enjoyed spending their life and retirement together. Rozella enjoyed taking vacations with her husband, eating out, fishing, reading and spending quality time with family. Rozella was raised in the Baptist church; she knew and loved the Lord. Rozella is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Michael Leon Gaffney, her sons Tommy (Helen) Arnold and Bruce (Kari) Arnold, her daughter Kelly (Justin) Fountain, daughter-in-law Brittani, her sister Brenda (Tony) Aenchbacher, brother Danny (Sarah) Patterson, cousin Willetta (Carlton) Morris, grandchildren Tim, Brittany, Katie, Maddie, Abbie, Christian, Kyleigh, Ansley, Sam, Braeli, Brantley and Liam, as well as many other family members who will deeply miss her. Rozella was predeceased by her parents Warren and Rena Tony Patterson and her son John Michael Gaffney. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a memorial service immediately following at 3:00 pm at Southern Cremations & Funerals, 1861 Dallas Highway, Marietta, GA 30064.
