His obituary: Arthur Webb Holcombe III – Mr. Arthur Sonny Webb Holcobe III, age 63, of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born April 29, 1948, in Marietta, Ga., he was a son of Nell Brown Holcombe and the late Arthur Webb Holcombe Jr. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Miller Brewing Company and was also a farmer. Mr. Holcombe was an Army National Guard veteran. Family members include his wife, Betty Rader Holcombe of Toccoa; two sons, Arthur William Ben Holcombe of Toccoa and Brian Alan Holcombe of Athens; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Stuart Burke of Albany, Ga.; his mother, Nell Brown Holcombe of Apex, N.C.; two sisters, Mary Holcombe Jones of Greer, S.C. and Sandra Anne Remorenko of Atlanta; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Rader Mathis of Greeneville, Tenn., and Anne Paulette Rader of Marietta, Ga. several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Toccoa Falls on the campus of Toccoa Falls College. The Rev. Bruce Ostrom will be officiating.
