His obituary: Dr. Wally Askew. Lula – Memorial services for Dr. Wally Askew will be at 4 p.m. today in Ward's Funeral Home, Gainesville. Askew, 46, died Friday. He was the department head for middle school education at Georgia College in Milledgeville. He was the son of the late Roberta B. Askew. Survivors include his wife, Sheryl H. Askew; children, James D. Askew and Kathryn H. Askew, both of Lula; father and stepmother, Jack and Martha Askew of Gainesville; brother, Robert N. Askew of Atlanta; and a grandchild. I lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dr. Wally Askew Memorial Fund, Georgia College Foundation, Cathy Center, Hancock Street, Milledgeville 31061. Moores Funeral Home in Milledgeville has charge of local arrangements.
