Her obituary: Anita Faye Nash, September 11, 1949 – May 8, 2023. Mrs. Anita Faye Nash age 73 of Blairsville passed away peacefully on Monday May 8,2023 surrounded by her loving family in the North East GA Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Nash was born on September 11, 1949 in Marietta, GA., the daughter of the late Ersie Charleston Hamby and the late Thelma Pauline Rogers Hamby. Anita was very active in her church and she loved gardening, riding motorcycles, family reunions, reading (she had her own library at her home) and hosting family and friends get togethers. She was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Anita was preceded in death by her parents and also her husband, James Allan Nash who passed away March 19, 2023, her grandson, Phillip Ehrecke and a brother, Tommy Hamby. Mrs. Nash was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Nash are five children, Cindy (John Poole) Ehrecke of Helen, FL., Paul Dwight and Tonya Ellis of Cleveland, GA., Jeremy (Fargo) Ellis of Helen, FL., Kristy (Bear) Scovill, Alleera De Lakure all of Auburn, GA., three brothers and two sisters in law, Charles and Linda Hamby of Temple, GA., Barry Hamby of Marietta, David and Beth Hamby of Temple, one sister and brother in law, Judy and Junior Aaron of Canton, GA., fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 13, 2023 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with Rev. Danny White officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Xak Hodges, Andrew Ellis, Cheyenne Hinson, Ty Hinson, Steven Haus, Jamie Leigh, Vann Hamby and C.J. Barbee. Interment will follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery where she will rest next to her beloved husband James. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-9:00 pm.
