Mrs. Jones was a member of Jonesboro First United Methodist Church. She was the president of the Clayton County retired educators association. She was also a retired teacher from Morrow Elementary School. She is survived by husband: Michael Jones; son: Brenten Jones of Madison, AL; sisters: Janie Hales (Don) of Woodstock, GA, and Melinda Wilcox (Randall) of Acworth, GA; nephew: Jason Hales of Decatur, GA. Memorial Services will be held at 1 PM, Monday December 7, 2015 at Jonesboro First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. George Freeman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM, Sunday December 6, 2015 at Ford Stewart funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Jonesboro First United Methodist Church, The American Diabetes Association, Children Heath Care of Atlanta, or Healing 4 Heroes.
