Her obituary: Janet Ivey, 41, Former Acworth Resident. Janet Ruth Ivey, 41, of Lake Worth, Fla., formerly of Acworth, died Monday. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. roday at Scobee-Combs Funeral Home in Boynton Beach, Fla. A former resident of Acworth, Ms. Ivey was a 1972 graduate of Shorter College in Rome and a 1973 graduate of Peabody College in Nashville, Tenn. She was employed as a librarian for the Boynton Beach Library for the past six years. A member of the Palm Beach County Library Association, she was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 5335 and Fraternal Order of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary No 3944. Survivors include her parents, Ashley and Ruth Ivey of Acworth; one brother, Jack W. Ivey of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla.; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family asks contributions be made to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, 100 Johnson Ferry Road, N.E., Atlanta, 30363; The Memorial Library Fund in Boynton Beach; or Shorter College Alumni Scholarship Fund in Rome in Janet R. Ivey's memory.
