His obituary: Renus Earl Gossage, February 3, 1950 – January 2, 2022. Renus Earl Gossage, 71, of Marietta died January 2, 2022. Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday January 11th at the chapel of the First Baptist Church in Marietta with Dr. Bill Ross officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-1:50 PM Tuesday. As a youth, Earl enjoyed being a Cub Scout and then a Boy Scout. He also couched both little league and youth football programs. Earl was involved in several facets of church life including the audio/visual team, being a greeter and serving as deacon and playing on the softball and basketball teams for several Baptist churches. He worked for Southern Bell/Bellsouth for 17 years. He then worked as a sales representative for several different companies selling equipment to telecommunications companies. He then went into project management, overseeing numerous traffic management projects. Earl retired in 2014 and he and his wife Noreen did some traveling and visited many wonderful places. Earl is survived by his wife of 53 years Noreen Joyce Shearer Gossage, Son Thomas Albert Gossage/Angela Cooper Gossage, Grandchildren Abigail Joy Gossage and Cooper Benjamin Gossage. Sisters Elizabeth Gossage Orton Ragan/Emory Ragan, Doris Gossage Stiles/Bob Stiles, Martha Gossage Miller, and brother Ben Gossage. Predeceased by father, Ben Lee Gossage and mother, Esther Beatrice Gossage, sister Frances Harrison/Glenn Harrison. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
