His obituary: Tommy L. Steadman, Jr., age 70, of Ellijay, GA passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Piedmont Hospital. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He served his country for 4 years in the United States Airforce during Vietnam. Tommy was a Cobb County Fireman for 28 years. He loved nature and was a lifetime member of the NRA. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 PM, on Sunday, December 23, 2018, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Decker officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the South Canton Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by: Parents: Thomas and Jesse Steadman. Survivors include: Wife – Janice Steadman; Daughter – Jana (Adam) Chastain; Daughter – Amy (Ron) Makamson, Brother – Charles Steadman; Sister – Joyce Thomas; Sister – Hazel Gibson; Brother – Grady Steadman; Grandchildren: Reagan, Dalton, Kaylee, Kinsee and Slade.
